FAQs

Why do I need to book one appointment per issue?

The Medicare rebate system is structured so that short, single-issue consults receive the highest rebates. To remain fully bulk-billing, we provide 10-minute appointments for one concern at a time. This ensures your GP can give safe, focused care without rushing.

What if I have more than one concern?

If you have multiple issues, you’ll need to book additional standard appointments.
For patients who prefer to address several health concerns in a single, longer consultation, our private billing clinic may be more suitable.

Can I book a longer appointment?

Yes — longer appointments are available here for:
Chronic disease management (CDM) plans and reviews (if eligible, your doctor will determine your eligibility and refer you to book in for a CDM appointment)
Preventive health assessments (if eligible — see list above)
For extended discussions, preventive health care, and more in-depth patient education, we recommend booking at our affiliate private billing clinic.

Why does the clinic work this way?

Australia’s Medicare system provides the highest rebates for short, single-issue consults and for structured longer services (like care plans). Longer “general” consults are under-funded, making it difficult for bulk-billing clinics to provide them sustainably.
Our private billing clinic follows a different model, where consultation length is tailored to your needs, and out-of-pocket fees reflect the additional time and care provided.

Will I ever need to pay out-of-pocket here?

No. All services provided at this clinic are 100% bulk-billed.
If you prefer longer, more comprehensive appointments, our affiliate private billing clinic can offer this with a modest out-of-pocket fee.
